Low and behold, here's a brand new mixtape from that giant-cranium genius (duh, his brain his enormous) named Rob. His coveted Viva show Slow & Low is consistently the go-to playlist for fellow hip hop huge heads and the soundtrack for a considerable portion of the youngsters that fill the store floors, whether they're finger-spacing, shoplifting, shoplifter-busting, or just looking sexy.

So if you're ready to welcome the warm weather, throw this bustling comp on and get your jam on. The link is here (we didn't tell you that) and the track listing is as follows:

Not quite a resurrection, as the very alive Monsieur Tellier is strutting back onto American stages for a sweet run of dates this Spring, kicking off tomorrow in Viva's own backyard. Naked Fridays #24 airs today at 4 PM and this time we've got Dave Renard on the hot plates. You may know Dave from his show Deadheat and his DJ outings under the same moniker. All I can say is that a few weeks ago I was doing a little search on the acid-fried, dust-covered, lost-in-time Oklahoma proto-punkers Debris and their track Leisurely Waiting - one of the first google results brought me to this guy's blog. He spins the good, weird shit that still lets you dance. A head, indeed, but one that sits on good shoulders.

So, you should tune in to this session for a nice hour of esoteric jams that will still get you pumped up for the weekend festivities. Just make sure you don't flip out and go to a party with your pants on your head, or your mom's head in a fishbowl. Payce yourself.

Me Plus You number 42 features McCarthy Trenching, or the singular talents of Mr. Dan McCarthy if you will. This Team Love'r effectively dug deep down into his soul and came back up with some of his mellow brand of foik. Warm, witty, and acoustic sums it up nicely. Not to mention, the storyteller sensibility that he brings to his songwriting made conversing with Ted pretty effortless.

After paying a visit to his MySpace where his quality material sounds like total shit, it'd be well worth your time to hear this excellently engineered session wherein the songs sound pristine and the love can be felt. Viva Radio, a place for trenching.

OMJ! Everyone's fave Jonny Makeup and Cody from Ssion recently conducted a very Teen Beat-esque telephone interview. It's unedited, totally explicit, and very appropriately inappropriate for anything going onto a blog in the year 2009. I don't even know what that means, but add a little gay-on-gay joy to your day already! Also, don't forget to listen to the full interview with Ssion and Tedward on Me Plus You Pt. 40

Micachu and the Shapes stopped by Viva Radio today. They're playing a couple more shows in the greater New York area, tonight at Death by Audio in Brooklyn and then at Pianos in Manhattan tomorrow. They played three songs in our studio and we got a great interview as well! Stay tuned to Viva Radio for the full session coming on Me + You very soon! They asked for tea cups and we gave them a flowerpot!

One of the funniest comedian / writers around, Jon Glaser is on Me Plus You Pt. 41 today. You might know Jon from Late Night with Conan O'Brian, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Wonder Showzen or Hollywood blockbusters School for Scoundrels and Be Kind Rewind. His new program , Delocated, a paradoxical reality show about a family in the witness protection program moving to New York City airs Sunday nights on Adult Swim. I took an even deeper look into the life of Jon Glaser and explored some of his key "game changing" moments in his career.

Viva Radio Presents
Me Plus You Pt. 41 hosted by Ted Shumaker
w/ special guest Jon Glaser from Delocated
Air Date: 3/23/09, 12:00PM EST and available as an archive

A little side note: Check out Jon Glaser tonight, Monday March 23rd, on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The musical guest is the Moz!

Okay, I didn't really feel like promoting myself and talking about how well this sea foam Gay Beach t-shirt is selling, but let's be serious for a minute. It's kind of amazing! Dulce Fernandez our beloved Viva Radio contributor in the Monterrey, Mexico American Apparel store snapped a few photos and they look just fantastic!

As always you can listen to Dulce's program Sensacion En Espanol and Gay Beach Hits anytime on Viva Radio!

Buy the Gay Beach t-shirt here!

Sir Gavin has done it again! Tonight Street Carnage Radio presents Dee Snider from Twisted Sister at 10 PM on Viva Radio! Mr. Snider reveals his decision in the mid 70s between joining a metal band or stickin' it to the Fonz and going Doo Wop! Was it a gay band from Long Island or did Dee really love wearing makeup and fishnets on stage? You be the judge!

If you're in New York, LA, Chicago, Austin, or Atlanta perhaps you've noticed the extremely sexy billboards promoting the new Adult Swim program Delocated starring Jon Glaser. Mr. Glaser stopped by Viva Radio a few weeks back to do an hour long interview that will air very soon on Me Plus You. Unfortunately, he was not wearing that outfit at the time. American Apparel, take note, you've got some new competition out there! Delocated now airs Sunday nights (technically Monday AM) at 12:15 and Fridays at 11:45 on Adult Swim.
