A special edition of Me Plus You that parallels the excavation of lost treasure, Matthew Young released two wonderfully ethereal, partly instrumental and inherently experimental albums of folk music in the early 80's. Whichever of those descriptors you choose to buy into regarding his music, there is one that can't be denied - this artist is ultimately obscure.

Original pressings of his coveted records are far and few; only recently were they reissued on Yoga Records, a small label that specializes in shining the spotlight on equally rare and intriguing groups. Luckily, Yoga were willing to pass that spotlight over to us so we could bring Young into our studio for a performance and interview. Accompanied by his hammered dulcimer and acoustic guitar, it turned out to be an enchanting, personable, and mellow session.
