Buraka Som Sistema hail from Portugal and for the past few years have been putting a regional spin on the ever-growing sound of kuduro; originating from Angola, the genre is a fusion of African and Caribbean dance styles with house and techno applications. Having brought the most mainstream attention to this musical movement, Buraka have managed to wrangle together a nice roster of guest MCs and vocalists for their material, what with their first single featuring Angolan MC Petty and their most recognized single having been recorded in Angola featuring M.I.A. among others. They're taking it to new levels, friends.
