Last Tuesday, Cultures of Soul released an awesome CD anthology from Andre Evans' Boston-based disco ensemble Evans Pyramid. For those of you unfamiliar with Evans (which I'm assuming is most of you, seeing as this dude's been out of print for years now), he plays a killer brand of non-cheesy, soulful, and downright sexy disco.

I like him already.

This anthology gathers Pyramid's early singles as well as four previously unreleased tracks by the band. While the vinyl version doesn't come out until July 24, those who preorder the LP (or buy the CD) from CoS's website will be entered to win a copy of the LP's originally intended artwork, hand-drawn by Evans himself.
